About 'Home Site Repair' Project:
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver builds and preserves affordable ho using. Habitat Metro Denver is currently offering two different home repair programs. One program focuses on exterior home repairs in Denver's W estwood, Globeville and Elyria Swansea neighborhoods. These home repair pro jects often include a new roof, new siding and paint, porch repairs and ene rgy efficiency projects such as new doors and windows.
Habitat Metro Denver also offers an aging in place program where we partner with homeowne rs aged 65+ on interior home modifications, like safety bars, improved ligh ting and floor repairs.

Mission:
S
eeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people to
gether to build homes, communities and hope.
Vision:
A
world where everyone has a decent place to live.
People in our commun ity, and all over the world, partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers, and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they n eed to build a better life for themselves and their families.
His
tory:
Habitat for Humanity was established in 1976 by Millard and
Linda Fuller. The Fullers wanted to address poverty housing on a global sc
ale through “partnership housing”. The Fullers' concept of partnership hous
ing centers on those in need of adequate shelter working side-by-side with
volunteers to build simple, decent houses. Habitat homeowners' partnership
includes contributing "sweat equity" by building alongside volunteers and t
aking homeownership classes. Habitat homeowners pay an affordable mortgage
on their homes.
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver was established in 1979 by a group of passionate volunteers. These volunteers worked tirele ssly to fundraise, acquire land, select families and manage all of the logi stics to build the first Habitat homes in Denver. Since then, Habitat Metro Denver has become one of the largest affiliates in the U.S., celebrating t he construction of our 600th home in 2016.
Today Habitat for Humanity has served more than 1 million families around the world, completing the c onstruction or repair of a home at the rate of every 4 minutes.
