The Business Case For Gas

We are excited to bring together a Natural Gas focused panel composed of Ben Hamilton, EVP & CFO, Laramie Energy, Steve Woodward, Sr. VP Business Development, Antero Resources and Anne Robba, Manager, Quantitative Analytics, S&P Global Platts. This panel will provide the framework to have a thought-provoking discussion on how these companies navigate and think creatively from investment decisions, operations, valuation and marketing in today's challenging environment.

Panelists:

Ahna Mee (Moderator) - Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Cobalt Oil and Gas/Copper Trail Partners

Ms. Mee is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Copper Trail Partners, LLC responsible for business development with a focus on identifying and managing strategic partnerships with operating companies. In addition to business development activities, Ms. Mee facilitates the transition of acquired properties into the Copper Trail portfolio. Ms. Mee has 15 years of experience in the midstream and upstream energy sector. Prior to co-founding Copper Trail, Ms. Mee focused on North Dakota Bakken non-op working interest as Vice President of Versa Energy, LLC and co-founded Cobalt Oil & Gas, LLC, an oil and gas non-operating participant in the Denver Julesburg Basin in Colorado currently managing a portfolio of $45mm in assets.

Ms. Mee sits on the Denver Petroleum Club Board of Directors and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Gas Processors Association. Ms. Mee graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA, emphasis on Business.

 

Ben Hamilton (Panelist) - EVP & CFO

At Laramie Energy, Ben’s responsibilities include oversight of accounting, finance and IT.  Ben manages the accounting department which is responsible for all budgeting and planning review, financial reporting, JIB, royalty accounting, production accounting, federal, state and local taxes, treasury functions, audit compliance and other accounting and financial activities.  In addition, Ben oversees Laramie’s IT department that handles all aspects of the oil and gas IT environment from field based SCADA systems through back office solutions, infrastructure implementation and maintenance, IT controls, IT security, telecommunications, help desk policies and performance and all other IT activities.

Ben joined Laramie in 2012 as its Assistant Controller.  Prior to joining Laramie, Ben was the Accounting Manager for Sunshine Silver Mines and all its foreign operations.  Ben began his career in public accounting with EKS&H performing audits and providing consulting services to natural resource companies.

Ben graduated from Colorado State University in 2006 with a B.S. in Business Administration.  He is licensed in the State of Colorado as a Certified Public Accountant.

 

Steve Woodward (Panelist) - Senior Vice President - Business Development, Antero Resources

Steven M. Woodward has served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Antero Resources since January 2016. He previously served as Vice President of Business Development from 2005 to 2015. Mr. Woodward also served as Vice President of Business Development of Antero Resources' predecessor company, Antero Resources Corporation, from 2002 until its ultimate sale to XTO Energy, Inc. in April 2005. From 1993 to 2002, Mr. Woodward served in various business development roles in the US and Canada for Dynegy Inc. and its predecessor companies, Natural Gas Clearinghouse and NGC Corp. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Woodward served as Manager of Business Development for Reliance Pipeline, a division of Nicor Inc. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Woodward served as a Project Development Representative for Western Gas Resources. From 1981 to 1988, Mr. Woodward served in various engineering roles with ARCO Oil & Gas Company, a division of Atlantic Richfield. Mr. Woodward holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado at Boulder.

 

Anne Swedberg Robba (Panelist) - Manager, Quantitative Analytics, S&P Global Platts

Ms. Swedberg Robba manages the natural gas and power analytic teams for the Americas at S&P Global Platts. She is responsible for basis and fundamental forecasting, pipeline flow analysis and in-depth market research for clients as well as content and product development.  Before joining S&P Global, Anne worked with Delta Energy LLC as an energy consultant for large industrial customers.  In that role she provided risk management, forecasting, procurement, analytics and market commentary.

Charles Laudeman (Panelist) - Senior Vice President, Business Development, Rimrock Energy Partners

Mr. Laudeman joined Rimrock Energy Partners in June 2018 as Sr. VP BD to manage the company and engage producer with commitments within the DJ Basin which support the Rimrock 200,000 mmbtu/d cryogenic plant that will be coming online late August 2019. Mr. Laudeman was formerly Vice President Marketing for Great Western Operating, LLC and was responsible for managing the Company’s commercial oil and gas marketing activities within the Rockies.   Prior to Great Western Mr. Laudeman was with Newfield Exploration Company managing the Uinta Basin crude by rail activities and crude oil supply for the SLC and Bakken refinery markets.  While at Newfield, Mr. Laudeman also managed the gas supply and marketing logistics within North Dakota, SW Wyoming and Utah Basins.  Mr. Laudeman has built relationships with producers, refiners and pipelines over the last 30 years in the business development arena pertaining to crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids as well as managing marketing logistics projects within the US and Central Europe.   Mr. Laudeman began his energy career in Houston in 1989 working for various independent producers/aggregators and is currently living in Denver, CO.  Mr. Laudeman attended the University of Southern California’s International Relations School.
