How can we improve drilling program scheduling with advanced software tools?

 Sponsored by:

Today we're all busier than ever in the upstream world. We have to schedule and coordinate many “moving parts” in every drilling program, as well as taking factors like deadlines, production forecasts, costs, lease obligations, milestones, and well interference into account. Coupled with this there is a continual need to be more efficient. Yet we're often trying to handle all this with simplistic software tools like Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Project.

Actenum Upstream is a software solution that is designed specifically for scheduling and optimizing drilling programs. It's a completely configurable product that optimizes resource use, handles lease obligations, and helps you meet cost and production targets by aligning  activity sequences with your business goals. Join us on February 21st for a demonstration and to find out how you could use it for your well delivery scheduling.

Thanks to our sponsor, the first 50 DPC members get to attend for free!

Registration has now closed and is non-refundable. Guest substitutions can be made by emailing [email protected].

 About Our Speaker:

Owen Plowman is a Vice President at Actenum Corporation, responsible for sales and marketing activities. Owen has worked in the IT industry for over 39 years. He began his career writing commercial software in 1979. After completing his university studies in molecular biology and computer science, he was employed by Meta Systems Canada (an Ontario software startup), where he led development team efforts and consulted on projects for Canadian and U.S. government agencies and defence contractors. Owen then joined Oracle Corporation Canada Inc. in 1988, and held a variety of management positions in sales consulting, technical support, marketing, and professional services. After fourteen years working with clients in a wide variety of industry sectors, and several hundred thousand frequent flyer points, Owen left Oracle to act as an independent consultant to small and mid-sized software companies, before joining Actenum in 2006. In his spare time, Owen serves as Chairman of a BC conservation organization, and devotes most of his energy to being a passionate but somewhat incompetent gardener.
